Transportation: Getting to the Austin Convention Center

The Austin Convention Center’s centralized location off IH-35 and just minutes from TX-1/MO-PAC Expy makes it easy for visitors to get there and around. Two parking garages offer 1,685 combined parking spaces, and the MetroRail Downtown Station is outside the convention center on Fourth Street between Neches and Trinity Streets for those looking to take public transportation.
 
Located just under 8 miles from the convention center, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport serves nearly 16 million visitors annually, offering approximately 350 flights per day and nonstop service to more than 70 locations, ensuring that meeting attendees can get to Austin quickly, conveniently and affordably.

With a proximity to plentiful hotels in downtown Austin—totaling more than 11,000 downtown hotel rooms—meeting planners have ample options when planning large-scale events at the Austin Convention Center. Things to Do Near the Austin Convention Center

Before and after meetings, visitors will find plenty of things to do in Austin when they explore its lively neighborhoods and entertainment districts, such as nearby Sixth Street, South Congress, Rainey Street and the University of Texas campus. Meeting attendees can stretch their legs exploring the great outdoors at Zilker Metropolitan Park, where they’ll find Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum, Zilker Botanical Garden and Barton Springs Pool.
